The ULD Storage Racks (2 High) are two units that are bolted one on top of the other, allowing storage of fully loaded LD3 Units or fully loaded lower deck PMCs secured on a slave pallet in the upper and lower position.
Frame construction is of 4”x4”x⅜” steel angle welded members throughout, with the cross supports that the ULDs rest upon using 4”x4”x3/16” steel tubing. The base of the storage rack has eight 7/8” clearance holes along the top and the bottom of the frame to allow either ¾” diameter anchor bolts to secure the rack to the concrete base or ¾” diameter nuts and bolts to secure the upper rack to the lower rack. Anchor bolts and mounting hardware are provided.
The lower rack is 144” wide, 108” deep and 90” high, providing +/- 3” entry clearance for one slave pallet. The clearance from the top of the square tubing to the bottom of the upper cross member is 78” high. The interior storage area is measured at 136” wide by 103” deep.
The upper rack is 144” wide, 108” deep, and 45” high, providing +/- 3” entry clearance for one slave pallet. The interior storage area is measured at 136” wide by 103” deep.
The weight capacity of the ULD storage racks are 15,000 pounds per level.
